In the event of snowstorms or other serious weather events, the cancellation decision for morning, early afternoon or all classes will be made by 7:00 am that day, if at all possible. If a “no-school” announcement is not made, it means that classes are being held or that a decision has not yet been made. In the event of middle-of-the-day decisions, every effort will be taken to make and disseminate the decision at least 1½ hours before class time. In the event of a weather-related cancellation your instructor will schedule a make-up day.

How to find out about weather-related cancellations or delays:

  • Visit this page of our website
  • Visit our alerts Twitter feed at @NHIAalerts
  • Call NHIA’s main phone number at (603) 623-0313 and listen to the first part of the recorded message
  • Watch WMUR Channel 9 or FOX Channel 25 news
  • Subscribe to the NHIA text service by texting the keyword NHINSTITUTE to 41411. You are then automatically registered and will be notified of these announcements via your cell phone.
